Please join us as we share 25 stories celebrating 25 years of the arc of history of Rise & Shine and the vision of our program to serve future scholars. Our celebration will be throughout the 2021/2022 school year with stories shared each month by our alumni, founders, staff, tutors, scholars, and families beginning on August 30th at the R&S website: www.riseshine.org. Our plan is to culminate at our 25th Anniversary Gala in 2022! We at Rise & Shine are humbled and forever grateful for your investment in our scholars’ success!
Rise & Shine is thrilled that we have been accepted to be a Freedom School sponsor in 2021. We previously enrolled our students in the Freedom School, it’s aims of building literacy and awareness of African American history fit hand-in-glove with the goals of Rise & Shine. We were forced to withdraw from this program because of funding shortages and have greatly missed access to its outstanding educational strategies and materials. Freedom Schools model, we empower youth to excel and believe in their ability to make a difference in themselves, their families, communities, country, and the world with hope, education, and action.
