RISE & SHINE SCHOLARS SHINE!
The Rise & Shine program really works!
YOU are making a difference with your financial support and/or volunteer involvement. We recently received concrete evidence of the impact our efforts have on scholars' academic performance. Note the steady and substantial increase in the percentage of scholars who achieved honor roll status from the beginning of the school year:
- 1ST QUARTER: 38% of the scholars were on the R&S honor roll
- 2ND QUARTER: 43% of the scholars were on the R & S honor roll
- 3RD QUARTER: 60% of the scholars were on the R & S honor roll
Rise & Shine honor roll is defined as having all "Mastery" or "Proficient" scores for K-2nd grades and making all As and Bs for 3rd-12th grades. In the school system, a student is not eligible for the honor roll until they reach 3rd grade and begin receiving letter grades (A-F).
